What it does
amzn/selling-partner-agentic-toolkit is a plugin published under Amazon's GitHub organization. It bundles twelve Skills and three slash commands that work on a seller's own account through the Amazon Selling Partner Connector, a remote MCP server. The Skills cover seller analytics, stockout risk, FBA inbound plans, a month-end finance close, five listing Skills (a router plus issues, buyability, searchability and compliance), support-case preparation, secondary-user access, and SP-API developer questions.
The linked source file is the listing router, listing-troubleshooter. It makes one read call for listing status and issues, classifies the symptom, and hands over to a specialist Skill. The router itself never writes.
When to use
Use it when the question is about your own seller account: why a listing is suppressed or not buyable, which SKUs are running low, whether last month's settlements reconcile, or how to build an inbound plan. It is the wrong tool for questions about other sellers or the wider market, such as competitor pricing, category demand, or keyword search volume. Account data and market data answer different questions.
Inputs
A Seller Central account that can complete the OAuth consent flow, plus the SKU, ASIN, marketplace, or month you want to look at. The finance Skill needs a completed calendar month and, for the payout check, deposit amounts and dates that you paste in yourself. It has no bank integration.
Outputs
Depending on the Skill: a listing status and issue summary with a routing explanation, a days-of-cover table, an inbound plan walked through step by step, or an accountant-ready reconciliation summary. Changes to listings or prices are produced as previews that wait for your approval. The finance Skill is read-and-explain only.
Example workflow
Demonstration only; not run. The values below are invented to show the routing logic. They are not an Amazon response.
seller_question: 'Something is wrong with my bottle listing'
scan:
tool: listings_searchListingsItems
includedData: summaries,issues
sku: BOTTLE-750-BLK
result:
status: [DISCOVERABLE]
issues: []
routing:
observed: discoverable but not buyable, no reported issues
route_to: listing-buyability
reason: a listing that cannot be bought loses more sales than one with a quality warningThe router's stated priority is not buyable, then not found, then quality warnings. It also warns that "no issues" does not mean healthy.
Supported agents and setup
The Skill metadata names Claude Desktop, Claude Code and AWS Quick; two Skills (stockout prevention and month-end close) list only Claude Desktop and AWS Quick. Evidence reviewed on 2026-10-12 at commit 8d90d3b: the README, .claude-plugin/plugin.json, .mcp.json, the three command files, and the full text of three Skills: listing-troubleshooter, stockout-prevention and finance-month-end-closer. The other nine Skills are described here from the README and their metadata only. The plugin manifest marks the product as beta. This page is source-reviewed, not install-tested, and shows no install command.
Account, API, and permission requirements
Access is granted through Seller Central OAuth and is limited to what your Seller Central roles allow. The connector endpoint in .mcp.json is https://sellingpartner-ai.amazon.com/mcp. No API key from this site is involved. The README states that the Skills send tool calls and their parameters only to Amazon's endpoint. Your prompt text is still processed by your AI assistant under that assistant's own terms.
The manifest and each Skill declare Apache-2.0. The repository LICENSE file contains the Apache notice rather than the full license text, which is why GitHub does not auto-detect it.
Limits and human review boundary
Write actions can change live listings and prices once you approve them, so read every preview. The stockout Skill deliberately gives no pricing advice in either direction. The finance Skill reconciles Amazon activity only: an Amazon payout marked PAID does not prove the deposit reached your bank, and the summary is not a full company close. We have not connected a seller account, so nothing here confirms tool availability, rate limits, or regional coverage. The source names only the US marketplace ID as an example.
Pair with Ecommerce Data API
The connector sees your account. It does not see other sellers. When a listing or inventory decision needs outside context, amazon.products.details returns public detail for any ASIN, amazon.products.sales-trends returns estimated sales trends for an ASIN, and amazon.keywords.research returns keyword demand and competition. See the product details docs and sales trends docs, then create an Ecommerce Data API key if you want that context. These are market-side estimates. They cannot replace your own inventory, order, or settlement data, and the toolkit does not need this key. For the inventory workflow on its own, see Amazon Stockout Prevention.
